Ostrich racing is all fun and games, until the jockey gets trampled. Fortunately, no one was hurt. Honest.

As with all ostrich races, it's all fun and games until someone, usually a jockey, gets run over by its own ostrich.

Here's an ostrich race from three weeks ago at Colonial Park in Virginia. And by the way, the ostrich is one fast animal. Ostriches can run as fast 43 miles per hour. But with a 115-pound jockey aboard, they may be a bit slower. Ostriches weight between 140-320 pounds with a life span of 40-45 years. And at 43 MPH, that makes them as fast as horses.
